The plugin alone will not make your site WCAG conformant. You still need to make sure your site uses color combinations with sufficient color contrast, videos have captions and transcripts and all functionality and content is keyboard and screen reader accessible. Elevage Digital can perform an accessibility audit to determine what issues exist on your site in addition to those related to the Divi theme and page builder. Request a quote now.

As of August 2025, Fix Divi A11y works with Divi5. Divi5 will have very few native enhancements for accessibility. Instead, they recommend the Divi-Modules Accessibility Attributes and Accessibility Tweaks plugins. Some ARIA attributes are still applied incorrectly and will need to be fixed manually. Creating an accessible, WCAG-conformant Divi5 website will still require extensive custom coding and testing.

There are some issues with Divi modules that can’t easily be remediated, in which case it’s better to consider other options.

  • Blog – use a custom loop instead to fully control the HTML output
  • Contact Form and Email Opt-in – use a different form tool (ex. Gravity Forms)
  • Sliders and Gallery – use an alternative or reconsider the content – do you really need a carousel or can the content be presented in a more accessible way?
