Vision and Mission

A well-defined vision and mission statement are critical first steps in an organization’s strategy. The vision statement is an organization’s aspirational view of the future and will serve as the “north star” for all strategy decisions to follow. The Mission statement will clarify an organization’s target customer and how it addresses their customers’ needs.

SMARTEST Goals

A SMARTEST goal is Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-Bound, Exciting, Shared, and Tuned-up regularly.  Your SMARTEST goal brings your vision closer to becoming a reality.

Objectives and Key Results (OKRs)

Objectives are concise statements about what your organization will do to move closer to accomplishing the SMARTEST goal. Objectives should be achievable but feel slightly aspirational.

Key Results are specific statements about how the objectives will be accomplished.   Results should be measurable and impactful.

Accountability

Every member of your organization needs to understand their role in achieving your organization’s goals and be held accountable for accomplishing the tasks and metrics necessary to make that happen.

Issue and Opportunity Management

Every organization has issues that need to be solved and opportunities that need to be considered.  Issue and opportunity management is an integral component of implementing your strategic plan.   If these are not managed properly, your organization will not have the focus and discipline required to meet your goals.
